Match report With a strong side and a drying track Dave was looking to win the toss and insert a weakened Redbourn team. However, the toss was lost and with Jamie and James going early when the score was 12 it was the wise old heads of Dave and Brownie who played the circumstances by patting back the straight balls and hammering the bad to put on 175 for the 3rd wicket. Brownie (85) was first to his 50 but Dave (87) was first out to the left armer McPherson who had already kept wicket before drinks. McPherson then got Brownie LBW, Daniel caught and Alfie bowled to put the brakes on but George (15) before he was run out , Simsy and Lucas got the score to the target of 241.

In reply, Lucas broke through early with 2 wickets but Wrighty was unlucky not to claim a scalp. Jake nipped out a couple to add to his two catches before George ripped apart the middle order, with the help of a wonderful one handed catch in the slips by James. Chrispy then snaffled the last two thanks to stumpings by Simsy. All very straight forward and a good team performance showing the strength of the team.
