Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Harpenden won by 15 runs

Match report An excellent match, closely contested with good quality play from both sides.
Berkhamsted lost the toss and were inserted into bat. Archie and Anna took the score to 214, losing one wicket, then Ben and Jamie batted really well - advancing the score to 239. Good bowling from Euan and Joe who both took a wicket pegged back the third pairing of James Attenborough and Ed Tidey to a score of zero before Charlie and James Wilton finished off the innings with a partnership of 10 - leaving a target of 250 to win.

There were 2 key partnerships for Harpenden, Rory and Ciaran who scored 27, as did Tom and Nick when the pressure was on to win the match. Berkhamsted bowled well, in particular Ben Mackey and Anna Nicholls who picked up a wicket each and a special mention to Jamie Slater who took an outstanding low catch. However, 2 difficult dropped catches proved crucial as Harpenden ran out winners of a very good game with a score of 264.
