Berkhamsted Cricket Club Under 11 A v Tring Park on Mon 23 Jun 2008 at 6:00
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won Berkhamsted won by 5 wickets

Match report Tring made a very impressive start, racing to 83 off 11 overs with some excellent running between the wickets and strong batting from the opening pair Robbie Johnson and Alex. Berkhamsted fought their way back with two good catches from their very own Jonty Rhodes, Rory McAtamney. The bowlers kept to their task and wickets from Alex Munday, James Williams and Hamish Jarvie all helped to slow the run rate and rein Tring back to 121.

In reply, Berkhamsted started slowly in the face of some genuinely fast bowling from the talented Robbie Johnson but Daniel Angel played a mature, technical and well paced innings as he stroked his way to 32 before retiring. Partnered by Casey O'Gorman, who took the team from being behind the run rate to comfortably ahead by smashing his way to an undefeated 32 in a manner that Freddie Flintoff would have admired, Daniel and Casey chased the Tring total down. Jack Hodkinson and Ollie Nicholls safely saw the home team through to an impressive result.

A win for Berko by 5 wickets with just 9 balls to spare!
