Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Tring won by 25 runs

Match report Although Tring ended up winning by 25 runs this was a very close match with the result in doubt until 3 balls from the end. Tring batted first and looked to be in trouble when Calvin Lennox took 2 wickets in his first over. However the third pair of Joe and Henry scored 22 and the final pair, George & Jack Q survived some accurate bowling by Jordan McCormack and Ollie Elderfield so that Tring finished on 240.

Berkos innings was a real mixture of bad and good play. Wickets fell but the batsmen played aggressively, the top scorer being Robert Prunty (11). When the last pair of Jordan and Ollie came to the wicket 10 were needed to win but they were up against Trings best bowlers, George and Jack Q. The batters seemed to have judged it perfectly as they went into the last over needing just 3 to win, however the final over went terribly wrong for the home team with Jordan clean bowled and then 2 run outs giving Tring a hard fought victory.
