Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Abbots Langley won by 100 runs

Match report Berko Under 13s suffered a very heavy defeat at the hands of a powerful Abbots Langley team. Abbots batted first in brilliant sunshine on a beautiful evening, and with Atkins and Holderness bowling tightly Berko appeared to be on top. However, the batsmen then cut loose with some superb drives and pulls, scoring over 100 off the last 10 overs.

Our inexperienced batting line up was soon struggling, losing 2 wickets in the first 2 balls. Runs were hard to come by against accurate bowling and with the pressure increasing there were 3 poor run outs. Berko rallied a little at the end with Butler-Caddle being the only batsman to make double figures, but it was too litle too late. A nice ground and very sporting behaviour from both teams.
