Match report Hatfield won the toss and elected to field first. Very wet and sticky wicket, very poor batting conditions with intermitant showers throughout the first innings. Berkhamsted scored 109 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 45 overs (2 overs being lost to rain). Ian Peplow top scored with 24, Andre Machon and David Westley also made the most of the wicket scoring 15 and 14 respectfully. The final overs saw some inspiring batting from 2 colts in fine form (Mike Antonelli and Seb Smith). The sun came out for the second innings and Hatfield received significantly favourable conditions. Ian Campbell and Martin Ledger bowled tightly, but the low first innings score combined with the change in weather was too much to compete with. Hatfield Crusaders score 112 for the loss of 4 wickets in 35 overs.
