Match report After a poor week for the sides the 4th XI set the tone for a better weekend by thumping Preston 4s. Bowling first, Ledger and Preedy Senior proved a class above and took some early wickets. David Westley is also far too good a bowler for this level and took three more wickets to add to his impressive tally for the season.

Gareth Preedy and Gursh Bhoday mopped up the tail and chasing under 100 was never likely to be a problem. Opening with Steve Wale and Andy Chambers the pair did the bulk of the work before Tim Westley at number 3 finished off the game in his first match of the year.

If the team can keep performing like this every week, the second half the season could bring rewards.
