Match report Last seasons fixture against Old Habs ended in a tie and this was another exciting game with both teams going for the win. Mark lost the toss and with a number of players dropping out before the game he hastily had to rearrange the batting order. Chris & Rob opened on an almost perfect batting track, unfortunately we lost Chris early but then Mark & Rob put on nearly a hundred for the next wicket, Rob driving down the ground fiercely for a rapid 50. We then lost wickets regularly but Mark held up one end to register another half century and Jack smashed a few at the end. Luckily for us the oppo had sprayed it around a bit so with the help of quite a few extras we got up to 215 - a decent total.

Old Habs have got 2-3 excellent batsmen and there were some terrific shots played in their innings however we seemed to have the knack of taking wickets with full tosses and our Head Coach will be shocked to hear Mr Roberts took a hat trick of catches. Rob was back in action with his range of slower balls confusing the batsman, Guy Lewis pulled off 2 fantastic stops at mid off to keep up the pressure and our 2 young spinners did very well in the middle overs and both took vital wickets. Jack and Josh came on to clean up the tail, Josh bowling an absolute jaffa of an outswinger to get rid of the dangerous Brannan.

A very enjoyable way to end the season against very friendly opposition. Many thanks to Adrian & Josh for coming in at the last minute and to Will for playing through the pain barrier after hurting his neck at rugby.
