Match report Berkhamsted's morning weather fortunately hadn't been over Bayford. However, as we arrived the drizzle started and looked set for the afternoon. Thoughts were of calling it off and not repeating last week's disappointment. Suddenly it cleared, covers off and we were scheduled to start at 1.30.

Toss won, bowling first again.

Brownie and Jack got us off to a steady start and apart from a weak four overs from the skipper, the openers plus Dighty and Ed bowled very well throughout. There were a few lusty blows but these were few and far between the many dot balls. After 49 overs B&H were 140 for 8. A very getable total.

Brownie and Chris opening the batting and we never looked back. Chris's 78 not out, including 10 fours and 2 sixes, was the pick. But overall we batted with purpose and determination and ran out easy winners, with the winning runs coming in just the 20th over.
