Match report Our penultimate sunday fixture of the season saw us bid a fond farewell to Hamish who returns to start his NZ season, although he wasnt at his best claiming to be jet lagged after his long flight back from France. Mike lost the toss and we were inserted and the skipper and Luke set off in search of a century stand. They were looking good for it until Mike nicked one behind. At drinks Hamish bet the skipper a tenner he would score a ton - narrowly failing to recover the bet by just 82 runs. After Luke had been oddly stumped for a fine half century we embarked on a classic collapse with only Tony troubling the scorers, in fact we didnt even complete our 35 overs. With the skipper and Jack busy plotting their business empire (looking shaky if they cant predict PSV losing 2-0 against 9 men) we dived into a substantial tea.

After nosh Josh blasted out the first 3 batsmen including the obligatory catch from Guy and we were on top. Credit to Potten End though they kept going for their shots and we needed a steady spell from Romit to slow down the scoring rate and remove a couple of dangerous looking batters. Jacob took an amazing c&b which was a good job as it was about to remove his head then Mark came onto polish off the innings with 3 wickets as the home team went in search of some big hits.
