Match report An excellent performance from the team in this testing Semi final against an unbeaten Sawbridgeworth. Angel got a fast shooting straight under his bat first ball and was on his way. Peter McCall and Casey O'G then batted beautifully taking quick singgles and punishing bad balls. The score rocketed at 8 an over. When the oppo took pace off the ball it became more difficult to get the ball away and wickets fell as we tried to hit over the top. We set a defendable target with good contributions from our u13's Stanford and Holdroyd. The game was won for us in the first 8 overs as O'Gorman, Jarvie and Atkins ripped into the opposition batsmen. First Hamish Jarvie took a wonderful caught and bowled as the opener smashed the ball back at him. Then Casey used the crease well to deceive the batsmen and change his angle, away they went disconsolately. Ben Atkins then bowled 4 over of dead straight yorkers and the required rate shot up to over 12 an over. The game was won....well done boys. Your fielding and bowling were excellent and the opposition coach was very complimentary about you, especially the bowling.
