Match report A very peculiar low scoring contest in stark contrast to previous games between these 2 teams where the bat normally dominates. Leverstock Green won the toss and decided to bat but their top order was destroyed by Josh Roberts bowling straight and fast and Calum Miles who swung the ball round corners. Dan Angel then joined the party and clean bowled 3 victims. Theo picked up a smart slip chance off Ed and after 13 overs LG were 26 for 9. Then LG's last pair rallied and with a mixture of stout defence and occasional boundaries they pushed the score past 50 before the innings closed.

Berko got off to a bad start when Casey went first ball, and then Jonny and Matt struggled against the swinging ball. None of our batters looked entirely comfortable and we lost 4 wickets and it wasnt until the 16th over that Ethan struck the winning runs.

Overall an unsatisfactory season with 3 wins, 5 defeats and 2 games rained off. The lads could easily have won their first 2 games but dropped catches have been our downfall in most of the games and the batters with one or two exceptions have struggled for consistent form.
