Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Abbots won by 14 runs

Match report A good match where we just failed to overtake the Abbots score. Many of our boys were playing their very first game so in many ways a very positive performance.

Abbots batted first and made 238 off their 16 overs. There were wickets for Luke, James and Alfie.

Our batting got off to a shaky start against good bowling, James and Luke finishing on -8. Then Marcus and Luca had an excellent partnership of 17 only losing 1 wicket. Henry and Daniel also had a good partnership of 13 and then Joe and Alfie came in needing 17 off 4 overs to win the match. Alas 2 wickets fell and we finished 14 runs short of the target.

Thankyou to Mike Mann who helped our new managers Simon and Graham get acquainted with running a match.
