Berkhamsted Cricket Club Under 15A v Tring on Fri 10 Jun 2011 at 6pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost by 29 runs

Match report We slipped to another defeat against a Tring side which look very confident and are now top of the league. Tring batted first and we struggled to contain their batsmen with bad balls being punished severely. We did not protect our boundaries and the runs flowed at nearly seven an over Tring finishing on 136 - a difficult target on a cold gloomy evening. Our biggest failing this season has been dropped catches at crucial times and another 4 difficult chances went down which could have made a difference to the outcome.

Our batting was depleted by a late injury but we have enough ability to chase down most scores, however this time we struggled to find boundaries against a very well drilled fielding and bowling side who placed up to 7 men on the rope. Only Josh with 20 and Hoppy with 26 offered any real resistance and we went down by 29 runs.

Well done to Tring who are reaping the benefit of many of their lads being involved in winter training programmes.
