Match report Perhaps fittingly on the day of Eurovision we managed to score "Nil Points" in our game at Met Police Bushey. Player shortages higher up resulted in the 5ths mutating overnight into the 4ths and boy did it show. We tried our best with a very young and inexperienced team but ultimately we were outclassed by a very good team who were only second in the race for the chicken goujons at tea. Their opening bat was very grateful to us missing a dolly catch and then an easy run out on the same ball - in fact so grateful he decided to stay a little longer and make 111. Our beleagured skipper was heard to mutter under his breath "its going to be a long season". There were a couple of positives amongst the carnage - Hamish bowled a brisk spell and picked up a wicket and Mark showed some obdurate yorkshire grit to top score with an undefeated 21 but overall we were glad to be leaving the cold windswept ground behind us along with this desultory performance.
