Match report Beautiful day for cricket, the game was brought forward to accomodate the football that evening. Having won the toss, the oppo were inserted and the looked like they were in a rush to get back for the game. After an early wicket from young Mr Harlow, their number three set about his work with some excellent shots mainly straight back over our bowlers' heads. Goughie then picked up what could be catch of the season to remove the opener for 80. Wickets then fell at regular intervals with Goughie and Ez doing most of the damage - Ez picking up 2 and Goughie 3 - the run rate slowed right down and the fielding remained tight. Eventually, Bovingdon made 230 for 8 off 53 overs.

In reply, the openers, Alex and Mark, put on 81 before Mark fell for 20. Tim (12)and Puds (30) both ably supported Alex to take us to 163 for 3, but we were running out of overs. When Alex finally was caught for an excellent 94, we still needed 60 off the last 8 overs. Even though we had wickets in hand, we ended up 17 short, with 7 wickets down. A good effort despite the some what frustrating draw.
