Berkhamsted Cricket Club U14 A v Hemel Hempstead on Tue 18 May 2010 at 6pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won BCC won by 39 runs

Match report A good win for the Under 14s set up by a strong batting performance. Positive opening performance by Ethan and Jimmy neither who are afraid to give the ball a thwack. Then a super partnership between Hoppy and Ed to accelerate from the halfway stage. Matt played a series of well timed pull shots and Ed was his usual assured self with strong drives through the mid-on, mid off arc, just running out of overs before he could complete his second half century of the season.

Our fielding and bowling this year is full of energy, spurred on by the comedy sledging double act of Theo and Nick behind the stumps. Josh, Ethan, Jimmy and Ed stifled the Hemel innings and after 10 overs they only had 25 runs. We relaxed a little then and the hemel batters played a few nice shots but with the help of a great diving catch by Jack Wiggs at backward point and 3 run outs we ran out comfortable winners. We now face Chorleywood in the next game, who are also unbeaten this season.
