That's the final tally of League Results for the Under 9 side as a final group victory was achieved in some style last night at Tring.

Captain for the day Archie Casey elected to bat and watched his team rattle up a tremendous score of 302 for 4 with Alfie top scoring with 26 runs, well supported by contributions from all of the team (especially Tom M & Dan F who sent the ball to the boundary on numerous occasions). As ever James W and Nathan pushed the score along quickly and Will C suffered some terrible luck on his way to making sure that the team's hard work paid dividends. Archie entertained us all with his boundary and also his vocal Captaincy - which was great.

Our bowling display was equally good and a special mention has to go to Nathan who bagged a '5-for' with some great swing bowling. Alfie tore up the strip with real pace and James took yet another couple of wickets. In total, we took an amazing 14 wickets (with every bowler on target). It was great to see Will C get his reward for a dogged and accurate performance. Tom M showed pace and style in taking his tally of wickets up with the best of the season's bowlers and Dan took an early wicket to give us confidence.

Poor old Tring were never really in it this time and Berko' ran out deserving winners.

Next stop, the quarter final!
