Amersham v Berkhamsted Cricket Club Under 13A on Tue 18 Aug 2009 at 4pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Amersham won by 64 runs

Match report A bit of a pasting for our Under 13s from an excellent Amersham team who batted and bowled very well. This was a 25 over friendly and although Berko used 10 bowlers we should have been able to restrict their score to less than 172. Tierney (43), Baldwin (33) and E Lloyd (35) all batted superbly with bad balls being repeatedly put away for boundaries. Josh Roberts and Matt Hopkins both took 2 wickets each and Daniel Angel took an excellent catch and bowled 2 economic overs. Jacob Lewarne did well as a stand-in wicketkeeper.

Our reply was a very poor effort with 3 of our top 5 being run out, Hoppy without facing a ball. No-one made it past 20 and we were all out in the 24th over for a sorry 108. Only Sam Hauck with a positive 15 not out looked up for the challenge although the run-outs effectively ended the game much earlier. This game was rather like our entire season - MUST DO BETTER!
