2012 Herts League Fixtures are announced
You can now take an early look at the upcoming season's fixtures on our website. With four XIs in the Saracens Herts League this summer, we will be playing in Divisions 4, 9, 12 and 14. We aim to be competitive in all these divisions and look forward to seeing you in the Winter nets which start in early February. The skippers will be looking for commitment as well as ability, and with one less XI to play for this summer, places will be at a premium.....
Position Vacant!
We are looking for volunteers to fulfil a key role in the Club. Here's a chance to make a really valuable contribution that all our members will appreciate: Archivist: This is more of a longer-term role. We want someone who can help us make the most of all the documents, clippings, photos, fixture cards and other memorabilia from the Club's long history. We have made a start, but there is so much more that would be of interest to put on dsiplay or make accessible in other ways. Did you know the Club played against the West Indies touring team (twice) or hosted fixtures featuring Mike Gatting and Chris Cowdrey? See what else we can uncover that would be of real interest to our current members, young and old. If you can help, please contact Julian Dent.

It's always a proud moment for the club when one of our junior players are selected for the County squads so we would like to congratulate the following boys and girls for their success in achieving a place in the Herts winter performance squads.
Jessica Potts (U11)
Imogen Hopkins and Alice Hart (U13)
Kian Bains, Alex Wilkinson & William Gardener (U11)
Charlie Nicholls (U13 Middlesex)
Daniel Macey (U13)
Charlie Mack (U14)
Summary of the Club's Schools coaching programme 2011
James Holliday, our overseas player and head coach for 2011 completed over 85 hours of coaching for five of the local schools, including: Ashlyns, Greenway, St Mary's, St.Thomas More and Victoria.
Without this effort by your Club, none of the primary school children in Berkhamsted would have any exposure to our national game in school time. And the schools don't have to pay a penny for all this free coaching - it's all funded by the Club, with the support of the
In addition, James organised and ran an inter-school festival for all the local primary schools.
Cricket Club kit is now available in the High Street
Berkhamsted Sports Shop at 250 High Street now carries a full range of both our senior and junior shirts and cricket sweaters. The top quality shirts are embroidered with the Club's crest and printed with our sponsors' logos. The traditional sweaters (sleeved and sleeveless) are embroidered with the Club's crest. Coming soon, caps and polo shirts.
Ladies - join the women's cricket team!
With help from Amanda Jarvis and Sarah Marsden, we are setting up a women's cricket team. We will start off using the Pairs cricket format and the Incrediball, just like the younger colts, so there is no fear of getting hurt and everyone gets to bat for four overs. If you have ever wanted to give the game a try, this is the best way to enjoy it while learning the skills. We will be holding several practice sessions.
