We have introduced Girls-only cricket to the Club, as an option for girls who are not keen to play mixed cricket (and the opportunity to try both and switch between as preferred).  We organise friendly matches against other local clubs' girls teams and have entered a girls team in the junior leagues (girls can play against boys "two years down", so for example our U12 girls can play against U10 boys).

Girls-only coaching takes place throughout the summer from 10.00 to 12.00 on Sundays for those who join the Cricket Club. If you are new, you may come to one free taster session. 

We can also cater for those girls who would prefer to play in mixed teams or sessions – each Sunday morning.
 
All our club coaches are ECB-qualified, fully CRB checked and have an excellent reputation for making their sessions safe, fun and very enjoyable.

Children should wear trainers plus comfortable clothing. Whites are not compulsory. Make sure that warm/waterproof clothing is provided should the weather turn cold or wet. If it’s hot please make sure that sun cream is applied before arriving at the Club.

All equipment is provided, no need to buy anything - but a full range of kit is available when you are ready.

Girls playing for Berkhamsted have a pathway to District and County teams (which are desperate for new talent!) and last year were proud to have Anna Nicholls who won a coaches prize for best overall player in the Bucks County U13 Girls Squad.  Anna had an astonishing season with the bat for Bucks scoring 403 runs in 9 matches which included a century and 3 fifties!   Of course Anna is not just a batter and is a key bowler for our boys U12 team where she was the second highest wicket-taker this season with 9 wickets for just 66 runs.

Any Mums interested in helping out  - do get in touch! We will need Managers to help organise and run teams to play against other local girls team and Coaches. The Club is prepared to pay all the costs for you to take the official coaching courses for Level 1 coach or Level 2.
