Match report Berkhamsted headed over to local rivals Tring on a blustery Sunday morning. Berkhamsted batted first with Tom Mills and George Almond resisting some inspired Tring bowling. Almond was the first to go for 13 whilst trying to push the run rate on. Mills continued to play sensibly and guided the ball into gaps and took any quick singles that were on offer. After Spall had been undone by the guile of McCormack, Captain Angel set about punishing any loose deliveries and the run rate climbed. He and Mills continued well into the 16th over before both fell in short succession. The middle order looked to hit everything and the Berkhamsted innings finished on 111. Tring were slow out of the blocks in the run chase with Jarvie and Atkins bowling fast and accurately. Atkins had the openers first caught and bowled and then bowled and it was an uphill task from then on. Inshah decided attack was the best form of defence and quickly found space over long on. He raced to 40 before captain Angel took a beautiful catch at wide long on to dismiss him. O'Neil attempted to keep the rate up but the bowlers were on form. Special mention goes to Lewarne whoshould have had 5 wickets but ended up with none. Dropped catches and missed stumpings...you had to feel for him.
