Match report Summertime and the living is easy. Only it was cold, windy and drizzly and if it had got any darker we would have needed floodlights. Still, the boys put on a good game, and deserved their win against a much improved Potten End team. Sam Hauck made his first 50 for the club and it was a fine innings with 2 big sixes and 7 fours. There were also good contributions from Ben Rochford, James Lagdon and Calum Alexander which took us to a high total of 141.

Potten End made a great effort to get the runs, and we needed to bowl well to contain them. It was the slow bowlers who did the trick both Calvin and James slowing down the run rate and putting pressure on the batsmen. In the end we ran out winners by just 15 runs and retired to the bar for a celebratory cup of hot tea. Wheres the summer gone?
