Match report We managed to achieve another win last night quite easily. Unfortunately Chipperfield were 2 players down and therefore were not in the best position to compete. They batted first and all the boys bowled well. We even managed a run out when Joe was bowling. He bowled, the batsmen hit the ball hard towards Joe which he almost caught. Some quick thinking by Joe then to throw the ball at the stumps smashed the wickets for a clear runout. Ben Miles bowled very well and took a wicket. Eddie Duncombe took 2 wickets and as usual bowled very steadily but the bowler of the day was George Carter who took 3 wickets in his first over. As the opposition only had six players the next 4 overs didn't count towards their score. Eddie D still managed to take another wicket. So they ended up scoring 197 for 7 wickets.

James and Edward H opened the batting hitting 7 runs and 5 respectively. Ed was caught by one of our players, Daniel, who helped out Chipperfield following a nasty collision between Ed and their Wicket Keeper. The young girl had to go to hospital but hopefully she is now ok.
George and Logan were next in scoring 11 runs and 3 runs respectively followed by Joe and Ben who scored 0 and 13. Joe lost his wicket right at the end of a great partnership of good batting. Finally Eddie and Daniel batted scoring 14 and 4 again showing a selection of excellent shots. Unfortunately Daniel lost his wicket early on so we ended our innings with a score of 273 for 3.
Well done to all the lads. We could have scored more but a few of our boys watched the ball hopefully go for four rather than make the runs only to see the ball not reach the boundary and then only get a single!
