Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won by 42 Runs

Match report Watford won the toss and inserted us. The two opening bowlers were very good quality and threatening. Pete soon perished but Jacob played well and positively to build a score.

After the openers, things got a little easier and the middle order all contributed with good scores to build a total of 180. Jacob top scored with 42 before falling victim to the in vogue mankad run out.

All bowlers bowled tightly and chipped away at wickets, we held our nerve in the field against a couple of big hitters to get rid of them and they subsided for s good win for us. Special mention to Ian, Jake and Jess, all of whom bowled really well to sweep up 8 wickets between them.

Good to get our first win of the season and a very good team effort to achieve it. Well done all!
