Match report Another strong batting performance allowed an early declaration and this time the bowling attack, led by the colts, was able to complete the job and deliver a convincing win.

Andre Machon finally kicked off his season with a confident 41, and was unlucky to be stumped off a rebound from the keeper's pads. Daivd Westley, Andrew Chambers, Julian Dent and Ian Campbell all kept the score moving with runs to their names and Ian Peplow showed some classy shots and some game running between the wickets. The declaration came after passing maximum batting points with 200 on the board, without conceding any bowling points.

The bowling attack resemblend England, with Ben Beard doing the Jimmy Anderson impersonation taking wickets with some absolute beauties and Martin Ledger, the Sidebottom. Like O'Dair, James Westley and David Westley kept the ball in the right areas and were rewarded in turn. The final wicket required the second of two excellent cathes from O'Dair, with 10 balls to spare.
