Match report An excellent performance from the boys to secure a comprehensive victory over local rivals Tring. Charlie won the toss and elected to bat, his decision was vindicated as a partnership of 82 for the second wicket was only ended by Tomas P having to retire undefeated on 50, Sam Quinn departing a couple of overs later for 36. Hugh Phillipson hit two crunching fours in the final over and Berko finished on 119.
A hostile opening spell from from Hugh saw the dismissal of the dangerous Will Darraugh thanks to a superb catch from TP whilst at the other end Sam Quinn quickly found a nagging line and length to end with 1 for 1 off three overs.
Jack H produced the best figures of 3 for 5, closely followed by TP with 2 for 5 and Toby O'G's 2 for 12. Charlie O had an excellent day behind the stumps taking four catches.
It was especially pleasing to see after the rusty start to the season v Watford that the ground fielding and catching was vastly improved with only one straightforward chance shelled.
