Match report A very disappointing performance at home to Chenies and Latimer on Sunday especially in the field led to aheavy defeat by 7 wickets, winning the toss on a bright sunny day, skip Guy elected to bat, Adam started off well at a run a ball until he was ajudged caught behind, Jake Lewarne, in his first time at opening the batting looked comfortable until he feathered another catch behind on the leg side. Ross Todd was then quick to fall bowled playing across the line leaving us in trouble at 35-3. Then came 2 partnerships that rebuilt the innings, With Mark Lewarne who played well for his run a ball 66 was Phil Brown (20) who put on 51 for the 4th wicket, and Guy (18) who put on 61 for the 6th Wicket to put us on a par score on a slowish wicket of 173 in the 40 overs.

After yet another excellent Tea, Tom and Martin bowled well, Tom in particular, but slowly the Chenies openers got to grips with the wicket and the Number 1 batsman and played some excellent shots and picked the gaps on running far to many quick singles to take the game away from us, not helped by some very poor fielding and 4 dropped catches. With the game gone did we finally manage to take a wicket, Josh Todd catching the opener for 88 at cover, repeating the trick a few overs later to remove the other, A good catch at Mid Off from Jake gave us a bit more cheer, but Chenies easily reached there target with many overs to spare, a day to forget in the field!
