Match report We travelled to Leverstock Green with a somewhat depleted outfit but in the end pulled off a great result. The Green won the toss and batted first and they made the most of a racy outfield and some loose bowling and brought the 100 up in the 13th over. Sam Revell made a rapid 48. We were fearing a huge total but somehow managed to drag them back, mainly thanks to an excellent spell of swing bowling from our skipper Ed who took 3 for 9. We also caught well in particular Jack and Ted (on loan from the U13s) made difficult chances look easy. Theo wasnt at his best or noisiest behind the sticks but still took a smart catch and an excellent stumping to keep up the momentum.

We needed just over 7 an over to win the game and got off to a great start thanks to Casey O'Gorman who is becoming a very reliable attacking opening batsman. After that we were all treated to an absolute batting masterclass from Daniel Angel - in fact here are the words of the opposition coach in his match report - "With a high level of concentration and very intelligent shot making, he played like one with far more years to his credit". Daniel made 49 to effectively win us the game although he was well supported by Josh Roberts who made a vital 26 not out including a lovely straight drive to seal the points.

A very good win for us after 2 very close and disappointing defeats in previous weeks.
