Match report A really good win for a team consisting of 5 under 18s and playing against a team in the top 5. Berkhamsted batted with great maturity against a good bowling attack, accelerating from 72 for 3 after the first 27 overs to 231 for 6 when their innings closed after 53 overs. Scott(17), Antonelli(13) and O'Dair(11) all batted maturely, and then Foster scored a majestic 104 not out, ably supported by J Herring(27), B Smith(22) and H Barnett(13 n.o). Ben Beard bowled a beautifull opening spell without any luck bowling 7 overs, including 3 maidens, for just 12 runs and Sam Harlow bowled an excellent 6 overs with real pace, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. Both Shah (2 for 42) and O'Dair bowled spells of accurate medium pace and Barnett delivered a masterclass in leg spin bowling, taking 2 for 18 off 8 overs. However, the highlight of the Wormley innings must have been the two fantastic run outs, one from Foster on the run from cover to the bowlers end, and then this was bettered by Tom Scott who threw a direct hit from just inside the thirdman boundary having chased the ball down from gully - brilliant!! A really good all round bowling and fielding display saw Wormely's innings coming to a premature end at 122 off only 34 overs.
