Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Chorleywood won by 127 runs

Match report We were outclassed by a talented Chorleywood squad last night - result:
Berkhamsted 182 for 9, Chorleywood 309 for 1.

Unfortunately we seem to have lost the impetus of our last few matches; the bowling was a bit looser, the boys weren't quite so engaged in the field and we're still lacking urgency in our running between the wickets. That said, we were up against a polished team whose bowling and batting skills were clearly of a very high standard.

Put into bat first we defended fairly well in the first couple of pairs but lost out in the third and fourth pairs to some top quality bowling
- a couple of their lads caused us considerable problems, taking two wickets each in single overs. Well done to Robbie in his first game, top scoring with a net 6 including a 4. Our other 4 coming from Ben.

On the fielding side, we just seemed a little bit off the pace, probably because we had a late start to the match but also (despite me trying to convince them otherwise!) they knew it was going to be a struggle to get any sort of result. The bowling was a bit rusty and we didn't demonstrate the level of enthusiam we normally do.

Well done to Ben for securing our only wicket. Hard lines to Robbie and Ben for almost holding on their catches, both of which were difficult.
