Berkhamsted Cricket Club Under 9 Red v Tring Park 2 on Thu 27 May 2010 at 6pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won BCC won by 117 runs

Match report Spirited and gracious opposition from 'Tring 2' was not enough to halt the progress of the freight train that is BCC Under 9's! On a chilly evening in Berkhamsted, Tring won the toss (will BCC ever win the right to choose whether to bat or bowl?!) and elected to bowl. A change around in the batting order for BCC saw Joe D and James W open the batting and put on a great stand of 21, which was followed by a fabulous display from Tom M and Charlie (who bludgeoned 45 runs in 4 overs!).

Tring hearts must have sunk even lower to see Alfie and Nathan stride to the wicket and dispatch another 30+ runs. Imagine how poor Tring felt to then watch Will G and Tom L arrive at the crease?! Suffice to say that the total of 322 for 2 was a fair reflection of the dominance of the team and a seemingly 'impossible ask' for Tring. And so it proved....

Wickets were spread around the bowling team with Will G, Alfie J, Charlie, Joe D, Nathan, Tom M and James all getting in on the act whilst Tom L could not have been any unluckier in not securing a clean sweep for our attack.

So, we reach 6 matches played, 6 matches won - but there is no room for anything other than full concentration and focus before we think about the chance of making Finals Day! Just like on Tuesday, well done to Berkhamsted and hard luck to Tring.
