Michael Antonelli Member profile Michael Antonelli
Michael is vice captain and a very capable cricketer. He bowls vicious off spin with clever variations, and is an excellent batsman. His forward defensive is legendary! Mike is another full District player pushing for a County spot who plays with the adult sides on a regular basis. He is a very quick fielder with an accurate arm who has a good cricketing brain. When Mike and Hugh bowl together the opposition regularly collapse and they have won many games for the unbeaten Colts. Took 4 wickets for 19 against Boxmoor this tear. Another regular in the adults sides, playing 2nd and 3rd XI this year.
Ben Beard Member profile Ben Beard
Captain of the U-15's and a regular full adult player in the 2nd and 3rd XI, Ben is a superb all rounder pushing for a place in the 1st XI. Another Herts player, Ben is a very accurate bowler who took over 30 wickets and scored over 600 runs last year! He is a superb fielder and a natural athlete. Ben is respected by all the team for his quiet authority and organisational skills, and has an excellent eye for fielding positions. He is another 6 footer who covers the ground rapidly.
Gursh Bhoday Member profile Gursh Bhoday
Gursh joined the club during the final weeks of the 2007 season. A bowling all-rounder, the 4th XI will enjoy his antics in 2008.
Ian Campbell Member profile Ian Campbell
A loyal club man, Ian "Ollie" Campbell is capable of heroics on the pitch. His batting is always interesting and he doesn't lack confidence. His leg-spin bowling has evolved over time, and is very effective. Enjoyed an incredible spell in the 1st XI last summer.
Richard Caseley Member profile - no photo available Richard Caseley
Already a member.
Andy Chambers Member profile - no photo available Andy Chambers
Andy had an impressive 2007 season in the 4th XI. He set the tone in their first ever victory at Hockerill with an aggressive 46. After the "Battle of Kings Langley" Andy suffered a slight dip in form but 2008 promises much. Primarily a batsman, he can bowl medium pace if needed.
James Chambers Member profile - no photo available James Chambers
James was named Colt of the Year for forming the Under 13 side back in 2006. He is extremely enthusiastic about cricket and is as a result a very versatile cricketer. He started off as a batsman, and then tried his hand at wicket-keeping, before ending the 2007 summer as a very effective off-spin bowler. This culminated in him taking 5-43 against West Wycombe.
Dale Edwards Member profile - no photo available Dale Edwards
The quickest man at the club, Dale is a flamboyant batsman and a very good fielder. He hopes to play more often in 2008 after just one appearance in 2007. Despite not having bowled with a real ball before he managed to take three wickets in his only appearance.
Paul Elleray Member profile - no photo available Paul Elleray
Paul is a left-arm bowler who joined last summer. He had a tough debut in the South Harrow "assault" but remained keen.
William Holderness Member profile - no photo available William Holderness
Will is a promising young all-rounder. He bowls and fields with full commitment to the cause and is well known for being annoyed at getting out.
Oliver Hopkins Member profile Oliver Hopkins
"Hoppy" is an elegant young batsman and usually provides a strong start for the colts sides batting up the order or opening. He also impressed in his adult appearances scoring runs against tough bowling and also taking the odd wicket with his clever swing bowling. He has taken some spectacular catches this year and is another tall Colt at over 6 feet representing the club at District level.
Alex Hubbard Member profile Alex Hubbard
Alex shares wicket keeping responsibilities with Charlie, and his County Goalkeeping skills ensure not much gets past him. Another giant colt at over 6 feet tall, Alex opens the batting with Max. His 53 not out won the semi-final for us, and he always ensures we get off to a good start with his power and direction. Another District player pushing for County, Alex plays with the full adult sides and is looking forward to not having to retire at 50!
Oliver O'Gorman Member profile Oliver O'Gorman
A very strong batsman averaging in the high forties, with a range of shots including the infamous one one around the legs and the cover drive. Ollie is another all around athlete captaining Herts at Rugby and representing the club at District level. He is a superb stopper of the ball, nothing gets past the O'Gorminator and his catching is legendary. Ollie also bowls clever "medium" pace and takes wickets at all levels.
Gareth Preedy Member profile - no photo available Gareth Preedy
Gareth is a keen cricketer who loves the game and is always the first at nets and never misses a match or a practice session. He is lightning quick in the field specialising in close catches with a very fast arm. He has a full range of strokes and is a competent batsmen who often gets into double figures. His left arm spin with clever variations troubles batsmen at all levels. Gareth will play anywhere at any time, and has so far turned out for nearly all the adult sides, from the 6th X1 to the 5th XI, 4th XI, 3rd XI, Sunday 1sts and Sunday 2nds!
Tom Rodwell Member profile Tom Rodwell
Tom became a valuable member of the 4th XI last summer. His vast experience helped the side develop and he proved to be a reliable middle order batsman.
Sebastian Smith Member profile Sebastian Smith
Seb is another excellent all rounder who is equally happy with the bat or the ball in his hand. Another District player pushing for a County spot, Seb is an extremely fast bowler who takes wickets at all levels, as six unhappy adults found out in a recent game! Seb is easily capable of a 50 every time he bats, and is very athletic in the field, taking superb catches and with a strong arm. He is another Colt who plays regularly with the full adult sides and is a natural athlete. 4th XI Player of the year 2008 and a regular in the 3rd and 2nd XI now.
Christian Wallace Member profile - no photo available Christian Wallace
Christian throws up a very medium paced delivery. His left arm swing gets him the occasional wicket... when he eventually plays that is
