Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Harpenden won by 117 runs

Match report Unfortunately we were outclassed by a very talented Harpenden in our league match last night - result Harpenden 311 for 3, Berkhamsted 194 for 10.

Harpenden batted first and put on a fine display of disciplined run-making, pinching 1's and 2's where they could and punishing any slightly loose deliveries. Berkhamsted bowled well enough and it was pleasing to see that the number of wides and no balls continues to reduce. Our wickets came from the bowling of William Storey, Luke Chauvineau and Michael Burton, including a great catch from James Williams. We showed a lot of enthusiam and commitment in the field and chased the bowl down well where we could.

On the batting side we struggled to make any significant headway against a consistently fast and accurate bowling attack. The boys battled well but started to lost a bit of momentum when it became clear that Harpenden really didn't have any bowlers from which they could start to score runs! Blew Foley hit a four in the last pair but otherwise we were contained with a few singles here and there.
