Match report In the annals of cricket history there have been some famous bowling feats. Who can forget Devon Malcolm 9-51 against South Africa, Bob Massie 16 wickets at Lords for the Aussies in 1972 and of course most of the population of Manchester claimed to have seen Jim Lakers 19 wickets in the Ashes test in 1956. We can now add another in that long line with our very own speed merchant Derek Pratt claiming 7-42 for our 4s which paved the way for our second victory of the season. Derek bamboozled the opposition batsmen with keeper Will snaffling 2 catches and 2 stumpings, Derek adding a caught and bowled for good measure. He even had time to drop a catch off Peps which enabled him to claim a nasty finger injury and a nice sit down after tea. A good afternoons work. In between Derek's heroics Abbots managed to score 166 so there was still work to be done with the bat. Also a special mention to our opening bowlers Jack and Luca who bowled 12 overs for just 27 runs, a very commendable effort.

Our innings was a rapid one, only taking just over 32 overs to chase down the runs. Star of the show was young Luca Bone who struck 60, including 10 4s and a 6 - well done Luca, Dad Todd must have been proud although not too proud to hit the winning runs later. There were also good contributions from Andy Chambers, Will B and Puds, with shots regularly pinging down the hill onto the first team pitch.

Derek quite rightfully was awarded the Kings Arms Player of the Day vouchers which he has probably drunk by now. Good win for the 4s.
